City Plan Commission


The City Plan Commission (CPC) is the City's official planning body established under State statute and is responsible for master planning activities. The CPC advises the Common Council on a variety of land development issues including zoning map changes, revisions in the zoning ordinance, subdivision approvals, business improvement districts, street and alley vacations, public land disposition and acquisition, new streets and the approval of development plans in certain overlay districts. City Plan Commission (CPC) meetings start at 1:30 p.m. and are held in the First Floor Boardroom at the Department of City Development, 809 North Broadway, unless otherwise noted.

HYBRID SEPTEMBER 25, 2023 CPC MEETING DETAILS

The City Plan Commission meeting on Monday, September 25, 2023 will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation. 

The meeting will be held in-person at 809 North Broadway, 1st Floor Boardroom, which has a limited capacity. 

You may also participate virtually via GoToWebinar. Registration information to join the virtual meeting is noted below. 
 

VIEWING/LISTENING REMOTELY:
You may view and listen to the meeting by registering via GoToWebinar and participating virtually. If possible, the meeting will also be streamed live on one of the City Channel's Live Stream feeds.

    - Join via your web browser (Google Chrome is recommended)
    - Join via telephone: you will receive a dial-in number and access code in a confirmation email once you've registered.

  2. If available, watch via the City Channel 25's Live Stream feed that can be accessed from their webiste: https://city.milwaukee.gov/cityclerk/CityChannel.


PARTICIPATING IN THE MEETING:
We encourage your participation in the meeting via the following methods: 
 

  1. Submit comments via email no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting: [email protected]

  2. Participate via GoToWebinar. Must register in advance: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5218624567340378717

    - Speak via GoToWebinar: You must alert staff of your intention to speak either via email prior to the meeting ([email protected]) or via GoToWebinar's "raise your hand" feature. During the hearing, click the "raise your hand" button to alert staff that you would like to speak, and staff will unmute you during the public testimony period of the hearing. You can speak via your computer's microphone, through the phone/tablet application, or with a working pair of headphones with a microphone. 

    - Speak via telephone: If you don't have a working microphone, you will receive a dial-in number and access code in a confirmation email once you've registered. Enter the meeting via your computer or application and an audio pin will appear in the Audio tab. Call in using the dial in number, access code, and audio pin. You must alert staff of your intention to speak either via email prior to the meeting ([email protected]) or via GoToWebinar's "raise your hand" feature. Staff will monitor and unmute those who have indicated they wish to speak via the "raise your hand" feature during the public hearing session.

  3. Participate in person at 809 North Broadway, 1st Floor Boardroom. Capacity is limited.
