Small Business Enterprise Program

The Purchasing Division encourages participation in the bidding process from all certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs).  The City of Milwaukee has a separate division to serve the concerns of SBEs.  This division can assist businesses with the certification process, financial assistance, participation in City contracts, loan eligibility if awarded a contract, and training and educational programs.

The City is seeking greater SBE participation in the following areas:

  • Automotive
  • Building Supplies
  • Chemicals
  • Electrical Supplies
  • Food Service
  • Health & Safety Equipment and Supplies
  • Office Equipment
  • Police Equipment and Supplies
  • Printing and Forms
