The City of Milwaukee’s Department of City Development (DCD) and Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 have announced their third in a series of four public meetings for the new Downtown Area Plan, “Connec+ing MKE: Downtown Plan 2040.” The open house-style format will be held at 3rd Street Market Hall, 275 W. Wisconsin Ave., on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Milwaukee residents are encouraged to attend and voice their vision for the future of downtown Milwaukee.

Development Team Selected for Freshwater Plaza Lot 4 RFP

October 26, 2022

The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (RACM) has selected Rule Enterprises, LLC for the development of the parcel at 200 East Greenfield Avenue, Lot 4 at Freshwater Plaza in the Harbor District. A Request for Proposal was issued in May of 2022. The full development proposal will be considered by the Milwaukee Common Council at upcoming committee hearings.

City Launches Water Centric City Interactive Walking Tour

The City of Milwaukee launched the Water Current Tour, a self-guided walking tour that draws visitors from Downtown and the Historic Third Ward to locations throughout Walker’s Point, along the Water Technology District, and into the Harbor District. The tour is part of Milwaukee’s Water Centric City Initiative, which showcases the city’s global leadership in managing its natural water resources in a sustainable and resilient way.
