Citywide Policy Plan: Plan Elements

   

State of Wisconsin law requires that the Citywide Policy Plan contain the following nine elements: Issues and Opportunities

  • Land Use
  • Transportation
  • Housing
  • Economic Development
  • Utilities and Community Facilities
  • Agriculture, Cultural and Natural Resources
  • Implementation
  • Intergovernmental Cooperation


The State allows considerable flexibility in how these elements are organized. Milwaukee's Citywide Policy Plan is organized around the following nine sections, with all State-required elements covered in one or more sections of the Plan:

All elements in the Citywide Policy Plan are treated with equal weight; no single element supersedes any other.
