The percentage of positive COVID-19 test results decreased to 13.0% and remains in the “extreme transmission” category.

Currently, 62.3% of city of Milwaukee adults 16 years and older are fully vaccinated and 67.7% have received at least their first dose. On Thursday, February 3, the Milwaukee Health Department launched a COVID-19 vaccination incentive program which offers $100 gift cards to any individual five years and older who gets their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at any Milwaukee Health Department vaccination site. On the first day of the program, 483 gift cards were distributed. The gift card incentive is available at the Northwest Health Center, Southside Health Center, Menomonee Valley Site, and all mobile vaccination sites. Full schedule of locations available at Milwaukee.gov/covidvax.

“We are encouraged by the response of the first day of the vaccination incentive program,” said Milwaukee Health Commissioner Kirsten Johnson. “We strongly urge every unvaccinated Milwaukeean to prioritize getting their vaccine to protect themselves and their loved ones from COVID-19. We all must act in the best interest of our community to combat this pandemic together.”

The first round of vaccination clinics at Milwaukee Public Schools continue through February 8 before restarting on Wednesday, February 9. To date, nearly 650 doses of vaccine have been administered at these clinics. All MPS clinics are open to the public and have first, second, and booster doses available.
