The City of Milwaukee Health Department Organizational Chart
The City of Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) has 5 main branches containing 19 divisions.
Four of these branches are led by Deputy Commissioners. They help run the department and are ready to step in and support the Commissioner of Health when needed.
This backup system became important during leadership changes in early 2018. MHD is committed to filling any gaps so it can continue to provide important health services, as required by Wisconsin and federal laws.
