Women's Health Screening Offered

The Health Department has established two Well Woman Centers to offer low-cost mammograms and cervical cancer screenings, as well as more comprehensive health assessments for under-insured/uninsured low-income women. They serve city residents 40 years and older. Call for an appointment at 414-286-2133.

  • The Well Woman Center at the Martin Luther King Heritage Center, 2555 N. Martin Luther King Dr. is open from 8:00a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
     
  • The Well Woman Center at the Southside Health Center, 1639 S. 23rd St. is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.

The centers offer mammograms, clinical breast exams, pap smears, nutrition counseling, self-breast exam instructions, and heart screening including blood pressure and diabetic screening.
