Common Council
The Finance and Personnel Committee considers appropriations, finances, taxation, revenues, labor relations, personnel, pensions and other benefits, insurance, audits and city budget. Chris Lee is the Staff Assistant for this committee.
Once the Mayor proposes his 2023 City budget, the Common Council’s Finance and Personnel Committee will hear presentations from city departments as they consider amendments to the budget. Hearings will begin on Thursday, September 29 and run through Friday, October 14. The hearing schedule is as follows.
At the conclusion of department hearings and after receiving public input, Council members will be able to propose budget amendments which will be heard on Thursday, October 27 at 9 a.m. The final budget will be adopted Friday, November 4 at the Common Council meeting at 9 a.m.
