New Municipal Court Web Search Capability

The Municipal Court is pleased to announce a welcome addition to the Case Search functionality on our internet site – www.municourt.milwaukee.gov

In addition to the search by defendant, case number and citation number it is now possible to search for municipal ordinance violations by violation location. This will allow policy makers and citizens to identify the status of known cases in their neighborhood, find out if any cases have been filed in connection with a particular address or range of addresses, and to know the disposition of those cases. It is important to note that the location search will work for municipal ordinance violations, only. Because the Uniform Traffic Citation form does not require officers to include a discrete address for the violation, it is not possible to include these cases in the location search.

This new functionality is one of many system improvements made possible with the recent upgrade of the Court's case management system.

Please don't hesitate to contact Kristine Hinrichs, Chief Court Administrator at 414-286-3836 (direct) or [email protected] if you have any questions concerning use of the Court's web site or other aspects of the Court's operation.
