Milwaukee Health Department
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 9, 2021
MILWAUKEE – The NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks are stepping up again to help the Milwaukee Health Department vaccinate the Milwaukee community; this time, focusing on children ages 5 to 11. On Saturday, November 13, the Milwaukee Health Department will be administering COVID-19 vaccine in the atrium of Fiserv Forum from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Everyone vaccinated at this clinic will have the opportunity to take a photo with the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
“The Milwaukee Bucks have continued to be valuable partners in our fight against COVID-19, and we appreciate their commitment to vaccinate our city’s children,” said Milwaukee Health Commissioner Kirsten Johnson. “Vaccination is the best tool to keep ourselves and our children safe from COVID-19. We hope the opportunity to ‘take a shot’ in the home of the 2021 World Champion Milwaukee Bucks will encourage Milwaukee children and families to get vaccinated.”
In addition to pediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines, the clinic will also offer first, second, and booster doses of Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines for any eligible individual, as well as flu shots available without an appointment. All children under the age of 18 will require parent or guardian permission to receive the vaccine.
“We appreciate our continued relationship with the Milwaukee Health Department to strongly encourage everyone, including eligible children, to get vaccinated,” said Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Peter Feigin. “We are pleased to utilize Fiserv Forum to make getting a vaccination easy and convenient.”
The Milwaukee Health Department and Milwaukee Bucks will host a second vaccine clinic on December 4 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to administer second doses of the vaccine. Individuals who return to complete their vaccine series at this clinic will be entered to win one of two available family four packs of tickets for that evening’s 7 p.m. game against the Miami Heat. The random drawing will be held following the completion of the vaccine clinic at 2 p.m., and winners will be notified and sent their tickets via email.
