Jackie Q. Carter

A lifelong resident of Milwaukee, Jackie Q. Carter has worked in the local non-profit and public sector for more than 25 years. She currently serves as Director of Employee Relations for the City of Milwaukee, as appointed by Mayor Cavalier Johnson. Jackie began her tenure with the City of Milwaukee in 2007 as a Customer Service Representative. She has since risen through City ranks, holding positions at every level of the organization. Jackie has worked in the City Treasurer’s Office, the Department of Administration's Budget and Management Division, and at Port Milwaukee.
Jackie earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Public Administration from Concordia University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Alverno College, with a double major in Business & Management and Professional Communication. Jackie began her higher education journey at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting.
Jackie is a wife, mother, and minister who plays a vital role in shaping the spiritual and socio-economic legacy of her family and community.
