City Clerk's Office
The City Records Center is a fully-functional records center, managing storage, retrieval, and destruction of City Departments’ inactive records. City Departments storing records with the CRC save office space and time sifting through little-used files, and allow us to provide a secure and traceable records retention and disposition process. For large quantities of records to be destroyed in-office, CRC also serves as City liaison with KARD Shredding, a NAID-certified vendor for secure document destruction.
Records stored in the CRC remain under the legal and intellectual control of the creating department unless otherwise arranged; records requestors should contact those departments for fulfillment of Open Records requests. Departments may request/retrieve their records at any time; turnaround for records retrieval is typically under 24 hours.
