Mayor Johnson, Chief Norman, and Director Todd Announce Opening of Police Officer Recruitment And Changes in Recruiting Going Forward
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson will join the Police Chief and the Executive Director of the Fire and Police Commission to announce a new round of police officer recruitment will begin on Friday. Additionally, the Fire and Police Commission is making changes to the process so that prospective police officers can now apply anytime going forward – not just during designated recruitment periods. The goal is to increase the applicant pool and build on the progress made in having a police department that reflects the diversity of the city.
