Whether you need guidance on disaster loans or support for flood-related damages, don't hesitate to take advantage of these programs.

SBA Offers Disaster Relief to Wisconsin Businesses, Private Nonprofits and Residents Affected by August Severe Storms
The declaration covers primary Wisconsin counties of Milwaukee, Washington and Waukesha; which are eligible for both Physical damage loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) from the SBA. SBA Offers Disaster Relief to Wisconsin Businesses, Private Nonprofits and Residents Affected by August Severe Storms Low interest disaster loans now available.
SBA customer service representatives will be on hand at the Business Recovery Center (BRC) in Milwaukee County to answer questions about SBA’s disaster loan program, explain the application process and help individuals complete their application. Walk-ins are accepted, but you can schedule an in-person appointment in advance at appointment.sba.gov.

Residents encouraged to apply today for FEMA flood assistance
Residents are encouraged to apply for flood-related relief provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as soon as possible. Applications must be submitted by November 12 for residents in Wisconsin counties affected by recent severe storms and flooding.
Individuals who have experienced losses or damage to their homes can apply for FEMA assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling the FEMA helpline at 1-800-621-3362. For any questions about FEMA Individual Assistance and the application process, you can reach the FEMA helpline or email [email protected]. The helpline is available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Please keep in mind that FEMA cannot provide assistance for needs that are already covered by another source, such as insurance or other programs. However, if your insurance or another program does not cover all of your disaster-related needs, you may still be eligible for FEMA assistance.

Milwaukee County Disaster Resource Centers
are available to assist individuals who have uninsured losses or emergency needs related to the August storms and flooding. A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is an accessible facility that residents can visit in person to learn more about FEMA and other agencies providing disaster assistance. At a DRC, residents can speak to representatives from county, state, and federal agencies, get help applying for federal assistance, receive updates on their FEMA application, and learn about the appeals process. No appointment is required.

The Department of Neighborhood Services is assisting residents with flooding issues that have affected their homes. We are here to serve you and answer any questions you may have related to building code enforcement and flood damage.
To report flooding in your basement, contact us at 414-286-2268, submit online through Click4Action, or through the MKE Mobile Action App.
To report structural/foundation failures (partial or total collapse) caused by flooding, contact our Condemnation team by email (preferred) or by phone at 414-286-2795.
