    Pick-up time starts at 7:00 a.m. at both locations below. Shuttle will circle back for pick-ups every half hour. Final drop-off to locations below will leave the Destiny Youth Plaza at 2:30 p.m.

The Future of Birth Cost Recovery in Wisconsin

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health team is excited to share a policy research brief prepared in response to Governor Evers’ state budget proposal that included funding to eliminate the enforcement of Birth Cost Recovery in Wisconsin. Since the final budget decisions will happen in the coming weeks, they prepared this piece on a) what the policy is; b) who the policy affects in WI; and c) what the known impact of the policy is on individuals and agencies.  Their research team encourages sharing this brief and re-posting corresponding posts from their social media (Instagram & LinkedIn). 

Free Online Reources from National Fatherhood Initiative

The National Fatherhood Initiative Learning Center offers free online resources for fathers and families on their website. The organization is committed to research and activities that understand the importance of involving fathers in their children’s lives.

The Milwaukee Fatherhood Coalition and Milwaukee Rec thank our guests and everyone involved in organizing the 20th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance hosted this year at the Baird Center. The event was sold out.  It was a meaningful and wonderful evening, and we look forward to the next one.

About Milwaukee Fatherhood Coalition

The Milwaukee Fatherhood Coalition was launched in 2005 with the support of many business, faith-based, philanthropic and other community partners. 

To date the Milwaukee Fatherhood Coalition has connected more than 12,000 Milwaukee men to resources to help them better meet the social, emotional and financial needs of their children and families. MFC services include: parenting, child support interest debt relief, driver’s license recovery, employment, education, health, and more. Over 95% of program participants are African American and other males on color. The Milwaukee Fatherhood Summit is the largest annual gathering of men in the state.

The Milwaukee Fatherhood Coalition is a collaborative partnership dedicated to promoting the positive involvement of both parents in the lives of their children.
