Police Satisfaction Survey Reports

The purpose of these surveys are to measure resident perceptions regarding a range of issues relevant to the Milwaukee Police Department; satisfaction with and trust in the police, perceptions of safety and police visibility, views on various kinds of police contacts, and exposure to crime. The surveys are structured to provide estimates of both city-wide opinion as well as estimates of opinion within each police district.

Community Satisfaction with Police Services in 2024

In 2024, 64% of residents expressed they are “somewhat” or “very” satisfied with police services, reflecting steady confidence in our efforts to serve Milwaukee. The average satisfaction score of 1.68 out of 3 aligns with a “somewhat satisfied” rating, closely matching the 2022 score of 1.67.

While these results highlight consistent community trust, they also inspire us to aim higher. To address areas of concern, the FPC is focusing on initiatives that enhance transparency, strengthen community engagement, and ensure equitable service for all residents.
