Program Steps:
1. Determine if the Loan, Incentives, or Both Are Right For You
Customers interested in Me2 loans can get pre-approved for a loan online at: www.summitcreditunion.com/borrow/energy-efficiency-loans, or calling (800) 236-5560 (press 1 for loan information).
Focus on Energy incentives are available at either Tier 1 or Tier 2 level, based on income and family size. Me2 bonus incentives are available to income-eligible households as defined by Focus on Energy’s Tier 2 incentive program (https://www.focusonenergy.com/Tier2).
Complete the Focus on Energy Income Eligibility Application to qualify for Tier 2 incentives and Me2 Bonus Incentives. If your income does not qualify, you may still receive Tier 1 incentives. Continue to the "Incentives" page or contact the Me2 Program for more information.
2. Contact a Me2 Contractor to Develop a Project
Contact a participating Me2 contractor to develop an eligble project. The Me2 contractors are listed by the work they perform. If you don't know which improvement your home needs, select a "Full Service" Contractor. Full Service contractors can perform energy assessments to help identify what projects best suit you and your home.
3. Close your Me2 Loan at Summit Credit Union
After you receive a bid from a Participating Me2 contractor, bring the contractor bid, Me2 Project Detail Form, and employment verification to your local Summit Credit Union to close the loan.
Not pursuing a Me2 Loan? Skip this step and continue to submit your incentives.
4. Complete the Project and Submit Incentives
Once a Me2 Participating Contractor completes your qualifying energy improvements, you and your contractor complete the Completion Certificate and upload it to your Summit online account or email it to me2lenders@summitcreditunion.com.
To receive Me2 bonus incentives, send a copy of the Project Detail form, your Me2 Completion Certificate and your Focus on Energy approval letter for Tier 2 incentives to Me2@Slipstreaminc.org or mail to: Me2 Program, 431 Charmany Drive Madison WI 53719
Complete applications must be received within 60 days of project installation.

Windows and Energy Efficiency
New energy efficient windows save energy as compared to older or single pane windows. Information on selecting ENERGY STAR® rated windows can be found at the Efficient Windows Collaborative™ or by contacting a Participating Me2 Contractor. Windows, however, are not ordinarily the biggest culprit for uncomfortable drafts and wasted energy in the home. Rather, air sealing and insulation through Focus on Energy’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program typically provides the most cost effective solutions to saving energy and improving the comfort of your home.
Participating Me2 Full Service or Insulation/Air Sealing Contractors can provide a comprehensive home energy assessment that will identify solutions customized for your home. Focus on Energy also provides rebates for insulation and airs sealing, but not for windows. Me2 requires that homeowners first have their attic insulated and air sealed to minimum standards prior to, or in conjunction with, financing new windows. Windows financed through Me2 must be installed by a Participating Me2 Contractor.
Customers wishing to finance windows through Me2 should have their Participating Me2 contractor complete this form.
