Milwaukee’s deteriorating buildings are a growing concern for citizens of the city and are increasingly seen as an impediment to improving local quality of life. The city has seen a tremendous amount of new investment in its building stock; however, many neighborhoods remain challenged with aging housing that has outdated plumbing, high energy bills, and reduced indoor environmental health.
Milwaukee is taking real action on climate change through programs that support energy efficiency and renewable energy while improving housing and commercial buildings, creating local jobs, and reducing energy bills.
