The Bronzeville Redevelopment Plan, the Northeast Side Area Plan, the Bronzeville Design Charrette, and the Equitable Growth through Transit Oriented Development Plan for King Drive all identified the importance of developing the Bronzeville district as a cultural and entertainment destination that highlights African American arts and culture. The Bronzeville DIZ takes the vision from those plans and sets standards and goals to shape development in Bronzeville.
