Construction Parking Information
If a construction project prohibits access to your off-street parking space and you have to park on the street, you are required to get an exemption for night parking:
To receive a night parking exemption, you are required to call the Night Parking Desk at 414-286-8300 between the hours of 8 am and 1 am Sunday night through Friday night. When calling the Night Parking Desk please provide the following information: (1) home address; (2) year, make, model and color of vehicle; (3) license plate number and (4) date of construction notice. You will receive a parking exemption number.
The night parking exemption for construction expires after thirty (30) days. If the construction project exceeds the thirty (30) day period, you are required to call the Night Parking Desk again to seek a second exemption. Please do not call the Police Department for night parking exemptions.
It is important to note that even if you receive a night parking exemption, you are still required to follow alternate side parking regulations or any other posted parking restrictions.
Persons holding residential day parking permits will be permitted to park within two (2) blocks of the address shown on their permit providing they abide by all other provisions of the day permit parking program.
If you have any questions about parking regulations in your area, please call the City of Milwaukee, DPW – Parking Enforcement at 414-286-8350.
REGARDLESS OF WHETHER CONSTRUCTION IS IN PROGRESS, VEHICLES PARKED IN VIOLATION OF POSTED TEMPORARY NO PARKING OR TIME RESTRICTION SIGNS MAY BE TICKETED AND/OR TOWED.
