Current & Planned Projects 

Use the map below to view current and planned DPW Infrastructure projects. 

You can search for projects in several ways: 

  1. Search by project type, Aldermanic district, project phase, etc. in the project filter column. 
  2. Search by name in the project list column. 
  3. Search by address by using the magnifying glass on the project map. 

Each project listing shares its type, current phase, estimated start of construction year and a brief overview. For some projects, a project webpage URL is listed for users to click-out to get more detailed information on the specific project or the larger program that it is a part of.

Completed Projects 

To view projects that were completed in previous years (beginning in the 2024 construction season), check out the Completed DPW Infrastructure Projects Dashboard.

  • Alley – Reconstruction of City of Milwaukee alleyways in concrete or permeable pavement. 
  • Bridge – Rehabilitation or reconstruction of City of Milwaukee bridges. 
  • Green Infrastructure – Project ¬designed to capture, absorb and store rain and melting snow. 
  • Park – Maintenance of existing or creation of new MKE City Park
  • Sewer – Relays, lateral grouting and linings 
  • Street Lighting – Transition to LED lights, pole replacements or carbon reduction projects
  • Street Paving – Street reconstruction, replacement and overlay projects of concrete or asphalt 
  • Traffic Safety – Project primarily driven by increasing the safety of those using the street, including projects from Safe Routes programs, intersection improvements, Community-Led Traffic Calming, etc. 

Please note the following: 

  • All project information listed is an estimate, weather dependent and subject to change. 
  • DPW Infrastructure is working to upload as many current and future projects as possible, with an emphasis on projects occurring this construction season. 
  • Water Works projects are not included on this map. 
  • Zoom settings on browser and device will affect the dashboard view.
