Night Parking Permits
Who must obtain a permit?
All motor vehicles that wish to park on City of Milwaukee streets or at a City-owned parking lots during night parking hours 2am-6am.
Night Parking Permit Applications require the following information:
- Full Name
- City of Milwaukee address of the permit applicant - permit applicant must be a resident of the City of Milwaukee
- Vehicle License plate number
Ineligible Vehicles
The following vehicles do not qualify for a night parking permit and are not permitted to park on City of Milwaukee streets during night parking hours (2am-6am)
- Commercial trucks or any truck which is larger than 21 feet in length, 7 feet in width, and 7 feet in height
- Vehicles equipped with more than 2 single-tired wheels on the front axle and more than 2 single-tired or double-tired wheels on the rear axle
- Motor trucks, except as provided elsewhere in the code, tow trucks, luxury limousines, motor buses, motor delivery wagons, trailers, semitrailers, camping trailers, motor homes, mobile homes and tractors
Disabled Drivers:
Vehicles bearing "Disabled Parking License Plates" license plates are exempt from purchasing night parking permits. Those vehicles displaying only a "Disabled Parking Identification Hang Tag" must obtain a Disabled Night Permit. The Disabled Night Permit is free of charge and limited to one per qualified resident. The Disabled Night Permit is valid for a full year (expires after 365 days) and is available online or in person at any Violations Bureau Payment Centers.
Vehicles bearing current registration plates for disabled drivers issued under s.341.12(1), (1a), (1m), or (1q), Wis. Stats., or a motor vehicle under which a current special identification card issued under s.343.51, Wis. Stats., is displayed, except for any vehicle not eligible for a night parking permit (referenced above), shall be exempt from purchasing night parking permits, however, shall be required to park in accordance with all other parking regulations. Those vehicles displaying only a "Disabled Parking Identification Hang Tag" must obtain a Disable Night Permit. The Disabled Night Permit is free of charge and limited to one per qualified resident. The Disabled Night Permit is valid for a full year (expires after 365 days) and is available online or in person at any Violations Bureau Payment Centers.

- Annual - $55
- Trimester - $20
- Monthly - $10
- Weekly - $5
- Daily - $1 - (Three free night parking permissions per 30 days available).
Special Disabled Overnight Parking Permits are free of charge to those who possess a valid disabled hang-tag.
Where to Purchase:
Purchase a night parking permit online, at City Hall, the Ziedler Municipal Building, Milwaukee Police District Stations, Parking Violation Bureaus, or the City of Milwaukee Tow Lot.
All locations listed accept cash or credit payments
Police District Station where the vehicle will be parked. Call (414) 933-4444 and ask for the location of your district station or check district station locations. Each Police District has an Automated Payment Center.
