Project Summary

South 6th Street - West Howard Avenue to West Morgan Avenue/West Holt Avenue

This project involves the area on South 6th Street from West Howard Avenue to West Morgan Avenue/West Holt Avenue. Work includes removing the existing pavement surface and replacing it with a new layer of asphalt. Curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway approaches will be replaced where needed due to grade and/or condition. The contractor began work on June 1st. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August.

Project Update:  September 15, 2010

The asphalt resurfacing project on South 6th Street from West Howard Avenue to West Morgan Avenue/West Holt Avenue has been completed. The existing pavement surface was removed and replaced with a new layer of asphalt. Curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway approaches were replaced where necessary due to grade and/or condition. The construction is done and the street is open to traffic.
