Project Summary
East State Street (from Prospect to Edison)
The East State Street construction project has been completed. Underground utilities were upgraded. The existing pavement surface was removed and replaced with a new layer of asphalt. Curb and gutter, sidewalk slab and driveway approaches were replaced where necessary due to grade or condition. When the street was opened to traffic, the portion between Van Buren and Market became two way. State Street was already two way east of Van Buren--so the new conversion makes State Street two way from Prospect to Market.
