Board of Zoning Appeals
A fee of $100 is required upon filing your Notice of Appeal and Application for Review form and application materials. This $100 fee is credited to the total appeal fee. The Zoning Administration Group (ZAG) will review your application to determine whether the appeal was properly filed and to evaluate the quality of information that has been received.
Once ZAG has determined that there is sufficient information to proceed to a hearing, you will be notified of the technical aspects of your application. This notification will include the code section in which your proposal is in violation of and any remaining fees required to proceed with your appeal. If you choose to proceed with your zoning appeal, a fee will be charged according to the chart below.
Your appeal will not be scheduled for a hearing until all fees are paid. The fees to file an appeal with the Board of Zoning Appeals are established in the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. All fees are non-refundable. If paying by check, please make payable to "City of Milwaukee".
Please call 286-2501 or visit the Board office for confirmation of all fees prior to payment.
