Milwaukee — The City of Milwaukee Equal Rights Commission, the United Nations Association of Greater Milwaukee, and the Milwaukee Turners invite you to the Annual International Human Rights Day Celebration and Panel Discussion on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
The event is aligned with the global theme “Equality – Reducing Inequalities and Advancing Human Rights.” It will focus on addressing inequities and fostering actionable strategies to build a more just and inclusive community. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for registration and refreshments, with the program beginning at 11:00 a.m. A light lunch will be served and limited reduced-cost parking is available at Turner Hall.
Panelists will explore critical issues related to human rights, including inequities in housing, the criminal legal system, and Milwaukee’s broader community.
This event is an opportunity to engage with local leaders, strategize solutions, and take actionable steps toward making Milwaukee a more equitable and just community.
