City of Milwaukee and MPL Career Fair Tour

You spoke, and we listened.

In partnership with the Milwaukee Public Library (MPL), the City of Milwaukee is proud to once again host a series of Career and Resource Fairs to help connect our community with job opportunities within the City that align with their experience, skills, and interests. These events are designed to lead up to our 2027 City Hall Career & Resource Fair, which will take place in April.

Representatives from various City departments, including the Department of Employee Relations (DER), the Department of Neighborhood Services (DNS), the Milwaukee Health Department (MHD), among others, and City partners will meet with attendees to discuss roles with the City, the application process, how to sign up for e-notify, and other topics related to attendees' career searches.

These Fairs will also provide residents with the opportunity to apply on-site for available jobs and learn about various resources that can help them set a path to employment.

“We want to encourage our residents to feel empowered to apply for jobs with the City and to join our team. Each individual possesses a unique set of skills, and with hard work and dedication, they can achieve their professional goals while also serving the community. Together, we can help Milwaukee grow and thrive,” reiterated Jackie Q. Carter, Director of the Department of Employee Relations (DER).

"Our mission is to ensure that residents not only have access to the resources they need to apply for City jobs but are also made aware of opportunities they may not encounter in their daily lives. We help people pursue roles they are qualified for and see themselves as contributors to positive change. Our goal is not just for people to work for the City, but to work towards improving it,” added Kobena-Marcus J. Collins, Department of Employee Relations’ Diversity Recruiter.

The City of Milwaukee and MPL Career and Resource Fair is open to the public at no cost

Please sign in at the registration table when you arrive at the event.
