Brush Collection

Brush and branches include woody stalks from pruning and branches up to 6" in diameter. Brush collection can be requested April - November.

  • Place up to 2 cubic yards (size of a couch) between the curb and sidewalk or alley for collection. Please keep brush piles out of the street.
  • Cut brush down to size. No branch should be longer than 4 feet or larger than 6 inches in diameter.
  • Request a pickup online or call 286-CITY (2489).

All other yard debris including grass clippings, weeds, and garden debris must be composted or grass cycled or brought to a Drop Off Center.

Where Does the Brush Go?

Brush that is collected by DPW Sanitation through Drop Off Centers and curbside brush requests is composted.

Forestry prunings are mulched. Call to check on availability of a free mulch pile located at each Drop Off Center.
