Department of Administration
David Henke leads the Information and Technology Management Division. He was appointed by the Mayor in February 2020. As CIO, Mr. Henke oversees the City of Milwaukee systems and technology including the city website, municipal communications, e-government applications, information technology projects, information technology standards and guidelines, and information technology training on a citywide basis.
Mr. Henke has worked for the City of Milwaukee since 2007 in various roles including as DPW IT Manager and Telecommunications Manager. Prior to working for the City of Milwaukee, Mr. Henke worked in telecommunications for MCI WorldCom and Norlight Telecommunications. He holds Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Michigan Technological University.
