Real Appeal is a weight loss and healthy living program that can help you and your spouse take small steps that lead to big results. By implementing small changes over time, you’ll gradually shift to a healthier, happier lifestyle and begin to see results that last. City of Milwaukee employees, spouses, and dependents 18 and older with UnitedHealthcare insurance and a BMI of 23 or higher are invited to join Real Appeal at no additional cost, not even a co-pay or deductible! Enroll using a smartphone, tablet or personal computer. Participants who have completed the program can re-enroll in a second year by logging into their Real Appeal dashboard and following the instructions for re-enrollment.
City of Milwaukee participants who complete 10 Real Appeal weekly coaching sessions during the Healthy Rewards program cycle earn 10 healthy rewards points. Participants can earn an additional 10 points for losing weight or 5 points for maintaining weight over the same time period. Participants must weigh in at the wellness center or traveling wellness center sites prior to and after completing the 10 weekly Real Appeal sessions.
Once participants enroll, they meet with a personalization expert - from a smart phone, tablet or computer - who will customize a program that suits participants lifestyle and targets desired weight loss goals. Next, Real Appeal will give participants access to a transformation coach to meet with virtually for the next year to offer support and help participants stay on track. Real Appeal also supplies participants with a Success Kit that is complete with nutrition and activity guides, and workout DVD’s!

In addition to all of this, Real Appeal offers a complete online experience to keep participants motivated and inspired. Receive unlimited access to digital content like streaming workout videos and the Real Appeal All Star Show featuring tips and tricks from your favorite celebrities, athletes and health experts. Participants also have access to online tools to track diet, activity and weight loss progress and the Real Appeal Success Group to connect with other people in the program. There’s even a Real Appeal mobile app so these tools can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
