City of Milwaukee Election District Maps

The City of Milwaukee is divided into several jurisdictions based on the office or service area represented. Below are the official boundary maps for State, County, and Municipal districts, as well as individual voting wards.

State Senate & Assembly Representatives

The City of Milwaukee is represented by four Wisconsin State Senate Districts and 11 State Assembly Districts. These boundaries were updated following the 2023 Wisconsin Act 94 redistricting. The State Legislature is responsible for determining state district boundaries.

Milwaukee County Board of Supervisory Districts

Milwaukee County is divided into 18 Supervisory Districts. The City of Milwaukee contains eight districts entirely within its borders and shares eight "hybrid" districts with neighboring municipalities. Two districts lie entirely outside the city. The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors is responsible for determining county district boundaries.

Milwaukee Public School Districts

The Milwaukee Board of School Directors consists of eight districts representing specific geographic areas of the city. Additionally, there is one At-Large member who covers the entire city, making the board a total of nine elected officials.

The Milwaukee Common Council consists of 15 members, each representing one Aldermanic District.

Voting Wards

The City of Milwaukee is comprised of 356 voting wards. These wards serve as the basic building blocks for all other electoral districts and determine a person's polling location. The Where Do I Vote site can tell you which ward you live in.
