Milwaukee Police Department
Captain William Wilson began his career with the Milwaukee Police Department in 2001 and after graduating from the Police Academy was assigned to District Seven. While assigned to District Seven, he was assigned to the Captain’s Car, with his mission being, impacting crime by proactive engagement within the community. In 2007, he was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to District Six. In 2015, he was promoted to Lieutenant and was briefly assigned to Communications. He was then assigned to the Criminal investigations Bureau North Division and later the Criminal Investigations Bureau Violent Crimes Division. During his time in the Criminal Investigations Bureau, he was tasked with oversight of major scenes and investigations. In 2018, he was assigned to District Seven as the Lieutenant for Late and Late Power shifts. In December of 2023, Captain Wilson was promoted to Captain and remained at District Seven as the commander.
Captain Wilson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is a 2014 graduate of Leadership in Police Organization program.
