Captain Vynetta S. Norberg
Captain Vynetta S. Norberg has served the Milwaukee Police Department for more than 24 years in roles including Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Sensitive Crimes Investigator, Internal Affairs Investigator, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. As Captain of the Community Resource Division, she oversees the School Resource Officers Unit and the Crisis Assessment Response Team (CART), a law enforcement and mental health co-response team that connects individuals in crisis with support and resources. Captain Norberg holds a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Marian College, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Quality from Marian University, and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command. She has also taught Criminal Justice and Public Administration courses as an adjunct instructor at several Wisconsin colleges and universities. Captain Norberg remains committed to building strong partnerships throughout the Milwaukee community.
