Milwaukee Police Department
Captain Raymond Bratchett was born and raised in Milwaukee, and began his career with the Milwaukee Police Department in 2008. He was assigned to District Four, where he focused on community engagement and proactive strategies to reduce crime within the district. In 2014, he was promoted to Police Sergeant and assigned to District Seven. In 2018, he was assigned to the newly created Special Investigations Division. In 2020, he was promoted to Police Lieutenant, and returned to District 4 to lead the late and early shifts at that location. In 2022, he was promoted to Captain of Police and returned to the Special Investigations Division as its commander. In May 2022, Captain Brachett was assigned as the commander of District Three.
Captain Bratchett holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Law from Marquette University and is a graduate of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Leadership in Police Organizations.
