Milwaukee Police Department
Heather Hecimovich Hough serves the Milwaukee Police Department as the Chief of Staff. She oversees the Public Information Office (PIO) and the Office of Management, Analysis and Planning (OMAP). Heather has been employed with the Milwaukee Police Department since April 2022 as the Police Risk Manager. She previously represented the Milwaukee Police Department as an Assistant City Attorney and served as the City-wide Community Partnership Unit Coordinator for the City Attorney’s Office. Some of her duties included representing the City and MPD in federal litigation, state civil litigation, serving as compliance counsel for the Collins settlement and in-house counsel for the City’s opioid litigation. Prior to representing the City of Milwaukee, she was in private practice and represented creditors’ rights in bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings. She is a U.S. Navy veteran (Machinist’s Mate Petty Officer Third Class) and received her undergraduate and law degree (cum laude) from Marquette University.
Heather also serves as a volunteer for the MKE Urban Stables.
