NEW DEVELOPMENTS
 

NORTH MARSHALL STREET – EAST PEARSON STREET TO EAST HAMILTON STREET; EAST HAMILTON STREET – NORTH MARSHALL STREET TO NORTH ASTOR STREET; EAST PEARSON STREET – NORTH MARSHALL STREET TO NORTH ASTOR STREET (3RD) (POLICE DISTRICT 1)
It is anticipated that the above roadways will be closed to traffic from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2020 for crane lifts. Only one roadway will be closed at a time to facilitate this work.

PROJECTS IN PROGRESS

NORTH 60TH STREET – WEST HAMPTON AVENUE TO WEST CAPITOL DRIVE (2ND, 7TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 7)
It is anticipated that North 60th Street from West Hampton Avenue to West Capitol Drive will have traffic restricted to one lane in each direction on the northbound (east) side of the roadway starting Monday, May 4, 2020 and continuing until Mid-Summer 2020 for a roadway reconstruction project. From Mid-Summer 2020 continuing to approximately October 2020 traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on the southbound (west) side of the roadway.

NORTH PLANKINTON AVENUE/SOUTH 2ND STREET – WEST ST. PAUL AVENUE TO A POINT SOUTH OF THE PLANKINTON AVENUE BASCULE BRIDGE (4TH, 12th) (POLICE DISTRICT 1)
It is anticipated that North Plankinton Avenue/South 2nd Street from West St Paul Avenue to a point south of the Plankinton Avenue Bascule Bridge will be restricted to one lane in each direction beginning Monday, March 23, 2020 for two days; beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2020 this segment of roadway will be closed to traffic until early June of 2020 to facilitate a bridge rehabilitation project and the reconstruction of North Plankinton Avenue north of the Menomonee River.

NORTH TEUTONIA AVENUE – WEST GROELING AVENUE TO WEST CAPITOL DRIVE (6TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 5)
It is anticipated that North Teutonia Ave from West Groeling Avenue to West Capitol Drive will be restricted to northbound travel only beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 and continuing until mid-April 2020 for a road reconstruction project. In addition, access to North Teutonia Avenue will be closed for the majority of roadways intersecting from the west. Both east and westbound traffic will be maintained on West Chambers Street & West Capitol Drive while eastbound only traffic will be maintained on West Nash Street and westbound only on West Melvina Street.

SOUTH 43RD STREET/SOUTH MILLER PARK WAY AT WEST LINCOLN AVENUE (8TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 2)
Until further notice, it is anticipated that the traffic on South 43rd Street/South Miller Park Way at West Lincoln Avenue will be impacted for a monotube project.

SOUTH 27th STREET AT WEST LINCOLN AVENUE (8TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 2)
Until further notice, it is anticipated that the traffic on South 27th Street at West Lincoln Avenue will be impacted for a monotube project.

NORTH WATER STREET – EAST WELLS STREET TO EAST KILBOURN AVENUE (4TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 1)
Beginning Saturday, February 23, 2019, and continuing until July 2020, the east sidewalk and the entrance to City Hall on North Water Street will be closed. There will also only be one northbound traffic lane on the proper side of the road. A pedestrian walkway will be in place on North Water Street.

SOUTH CHASE AVENUE – WEST LINCOLN AVENUE TO SOUTH 5TH STREET (14TH) (POLICE DISTRICTS 2 & 6)
It is anticipated that beginning April 1, 2020 until further notice, South Chase Avenue from West Lincoln Avenue to West Holt Street will have traffic alterations in place for the reconstruction of South Chase Avenue. In addition, traffic patterns will be changed on East Oklahoma Avenue for 400’ east and west of South Chase Avenue.

EAST/WEST MICHIGAN STREET – NORTH PLANKINTON AVENUE TO NORTH WATER STREET (4TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 1)
It is anticipated that the Michigan Street Vertical Lift Bridge will be closed for repairs beginning Friday, May 10, 2019 and ending in spring of 2020. Traffic will be detoured for the duration of the project.
