WEST HISTORICT MITCHELL STREET – SOUTH 22ND STREET TO SOUTH LAYTON BOULEVARD (10TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 3)
It is anticipated that West Historic Mitchell Street from South 22nd Street to South Layton Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. daily during weekdays for a lead service line replacement project. This roadway will be reopened at the end of work each day and night and weekend impacts are not expected.
WEST HISTORICT MITCHELL STREET – SOUTH 9TH STREET TO SOUTH 11TH STREET; SOUTH TENTH STREET – ALLEY NORTH TO ALLEY SOUTH OF WEST HISTORIC MITCHELL STREET (14TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 3)
It is anticipated that West Historic Mitchell Street from South 9th Street to South 11th Street and South 10th Street from the alley north of West Historic Mitchell Street to the alley south of West Historic Mitchell Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 19, 2026 for the “Historic Mitchell Street Exhibition” event.
NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL ANNUAL MEETING (4TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 1)
It is anticipated that southbound North Vel R Phillips Avenue from West Highland Avenue to West Kilbourn Avenue and eastbound West Kilbourn Avenue from North 6th Street to North Vel R Phillips Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic at varying times from 12:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18 to 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 22, 2026 to for the Northwestern Mutual Annual Meeting.
BRADY STREET WORLD CUP FINAL WATCH PARTY (3RD) (POLICE DISTRICT 1)
It is anticipated that East Brady Street from the east leg of North Arlington Place to approximately 120’ east of the east leg of North Warren Avenue will be closed to traffic from 7:00 A.M. to 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, July 19, 2026 for the “Brady Street World Cup Final Watch Party”event.
WEST WISCONSIN AVENUE – NORTH 2ND STREET TO NORTH VEL R PHILLIPS AVENUE; NORTH DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE – WEST WISCONSIN AVENUE NORTH TO ALLEY (4TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 1)
It is anticipated that West Wisconsin Avenue from North 2nd Street to North Vel R Phillips Avenue, North Vel R Phillips Avenue from the alley north of West Wisconsin Avenue to the alley south of West Wisconsin Avenue, North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive from West Wisconsin Avenue north to the alley, and North 2nd Street from the alley north of West Wisconsin Avenue to the alley south of West Wisconsin Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 22 and ending at 1:00 A.M. Thursday, July 23, 2026 for the Milwaukee Night Market.
MISHMASH FEST 2025 (3RD) (POLICE DISTRICT 5)
It is anticipated that East Burleigh Street from North Pierce Street to North Fratney Street will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 7:00 P.M. on Friday July 24th. to 1:00 A.M. Saturday, July 25th, 2026 for the “MishMash Festival” event.
RIVERWEST 24 KIDS RACE (3RD) (POLICE DISTRICT 5)
It is anticipated that the following streets will be closed to traffic: East Concordia Avenue from North Pierce Street to North Fratney Street, North Fratney Street from East Concordia Avenue to East Auer Avenue, and East Auer Avenue from North Pierce Street to North Fratney Street on Saturday July 25th, 2026 from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. for the “Riverwest 24 Kids Race” event.
NORTH DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE – WEST LOCUST STREET TO WEST VLIET STREET (6TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 5)
It is anticipated that on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 5:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. this roadway will be closed for the Harunbee 5K Walk/Run.
WEST NORTH AVENUE – NORTH DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE TO NORTH 7TH STREET (6TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 5)
It is anticipated that on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 6:00 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. this roadway will be closed for the Bronzeville Cultural and Arts Festival.

It is anticipated that on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 5:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. that this event will be in progress and will close the following streets: East Wisconsin Avenue from North Van Buren Street to North Prospect Avenue, North Prospect Avenue from East Wisconsin Avenue to East Mason Street, North Cass Street from East Wisconsin Avenue to East Michigan Street, East Mason Street from North Van Buren Street to North Prospect Avenue, East Michigan Street from North Cass Street to North Lincoln Memorial Drive.

WEST HOWARD AVENUE – SOUTH 27TH STREET TO WEST LOOMIS ROAD (10TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 3)
It is anticipated that West Howard Avenue from South 27th Street to West Loomis Road will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic at the bridge over Miner Creek beginning Thursday, June 18, 2026 and extending to October 2026 (weather dependent) for bridge and culvert improvements. Signed vehicular and pedestrian detours will be in place.
27TH STREET VIADUCT OVER THE MENOMONEE RIVER (4TH, 12TH) (POLICE DISTRICTS 2, 3)
It is anticipated that the 27th Street Viaduct will be closed to traffic beginning February 2026 and continuing through late 2026 for work associated with the WisDOT 94 East-West Freeway Project.
SOUTH HAWLEY ROAD – WEST PARK HILL AVENUE TO WEST ADLER STREET (10TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 3)
It is anticipated that South Hawley Road from a point south of West Park Hill Avenue to a point north of West Adler Street will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning Monday, January 5, 2026 through Fall of 2028 for work associated with the WisDOT 94 East-West Freeway Project.
NORTH MARSHALL STREET – EAST MASON STREET TO EAST WELLS STREET (4TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 1)
It is anticipated that two-way vehicular traffic on North Marshall Street from East Mason Street to East Wells Street will be shifted to the east side of the road beginning Monday, October 23, 2023 through Summer of 2025 to facilitate construction operations for the Northwestern Mutual Building Expansion.
16TH STREET VIADUCT OVER THE MENOMONEE RIVER (4TH, 12TH) (POLICE DISTRICTS 2, 3)
It is anticipated that the 16th Street Viaduct from West Clybourn Street to West Pierce Street and the ramp from South Emmber Lane to South 16th Street will be closed to traffic beginning Friday, December 5, 2025 for bridge inspections and repair. Bridge will remain closed until further notice.
WEST GREVES STREET – 27TH STREET VIADUCT WEST TO ITS TERMINUS (8TH) (POLICE DISTRICT 3)
It is anticipated that West Greves Street from the 27th Street Viaduct west to its terminus will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning Monday, December 8, 2025 through Fall of 2026 for work associated with the WisDOT 94 East-West Freeway Project.
