STREET LIGHTING REPLACEMENT - CARBON REDUCTION PROGRAM

PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project consists of converting existing street lighting fixtures to LED. Replacing the existing lighting fixtures with new and efficient lighting fixtures which consume less energy will require burning less coal thereby reducing carbon emissions. This project is located on the near north and east side of the city between Center Street and Juneau Avenue from 60th Street to Lake Michigan.

The existing incandescent light bulbs will be replaced with LED light bulbs with high lumens output shown below, or similar. For the arm bracket, we do not anticipate any replacement unless it is defective, in that case it will be replaced in kind. No street lighting/traffic signal poles are being replaced as part of this project.
The LED light bulbs to be installed will be a warm, white 3000Kelvin temperature similar to the image below:
