Statement of City Engineer Samir Amin
July 10, 2020
After much consideration I have decided to retire from City of Milwaukee service. I have been a resident of this city for four decades, near 32 of those in public service to it. In that time Milwaukee has changed a great deal, more often than not for the better, and I am proud to have contributed to that progress through my work in Infrastructure. It has been a pleasure to work closely with so many dedicated professionals including our current Commissioner Jeff Polenske.
I look forward to the next chapter of my life which will provide more opportunities to travel and spend time with my wonderful family. And I can’t thank them enough for their support throughout the years.
