Peer City Analysis

This report documents budget, caseload and staffing data for municipal equal rights agencies in peer cities. The following cities were selected by the Legislative Reference Bureau Library as Milwaukee “peers” on the basis of comparable total population, population density, age of housing stock, poverty rate and percent of population that is non-white:

This report also includes an analysis of Madison, WI; while not a peer city to Milwaukee strictly in relation to the demographics discussed above, Madison shares geography and other commonalities with Milwaukee.
