Statement from Mayor Cavalier Johnson on the MPS Superintendent Hiring Process

“I look forward to meeting with the three finalists for superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools later this week. All have impressive backgrounds.

I will be interested to hear how each candidate will responsibly manage the district’s facilities and resources, work cooperatively with organizations and governments, and – most importantly – remain laser-focused on improving the outcomes for Milwaukee students.

I appreciate the school board’s openness to hearing my opinions about the finalists.”
