The City of Milwaukee Health Department takes the threat of pandemic flu very seriously and has developed a plan for responding to it. The plan addresses many issues such as the best way to help stop the spread of the disease, communicating important risk information, and how to use available resource. In addition to preparing this plan, the health department has been working with different members of the community to make sure that planning is coordinated. The health department has also been asked to participate in exercises conducted by area organizations to help assist with their planning efforts and to speak at meetings for local businesses.
