Ald. Wade wants to encourage residents of the 7th District to be active citizens and help reduce residential crime. "Block Watch is a community crime prevention program that can make a difference and can be started by anyone in the community. Communication and information are keys to controlling crime, and Block Watch depends on the involvement of neighborhood residents for success," said Ald. Wade.
The alderman said residents care about their neighborhoods, but he'd like to see much more participation in programs that work to control criminal activity, a major issue throughout the district. If you are interested in organizing a Block Watch, please call Ald. Wade at 414-286-2863 and he will put you in contact with the community liaison police officer in your area.
