To register your bicycle, just visit the nearest Milwaukee Police Department District station or any Milwaukee Public Library, and ask for a bicycle license sticker. A bicycle license sticker may also be obtained by mail from the city License Division:
City Clerk - License Division City Hall Room 105 200 E. Wells Street Milwaukee, WI 53202
Once you have a sticker, go to our bicycle license activiation page and enter the number on the sticker. Click on the "Activate Bicycle License" link and then enter the registration number from the sticker. The new page allows residents to activate their licenses as well as change bicycle ownership.
Registration is free and valid for as long as the bicycle is owned by the person activating the license. For those who don't have Internet access, activation may be completed by using computers at any Milwaukee Public Library.
