Building and Parking Placement

DISCLAIMER: The information provided on this page is a work in progress and should be viewed strictly as informative.

Overview

The zoning code generally prescribes the location of building in relationship to the street property lines and other interior property lines.  Depending on the specific district, the allowable and permitted location of building is often expressed in minimum and maximum setback.  The "Design Standards" section of each zoning chapter, which follows the "Uses" section of each, details the limitations, often in a chart type manner.  The code and specific district chapters should be consulted.
For the ease of understanding, the following PDF is offered to better illustrate how these minimum and maximum dimensions would be determined.
