Johnsons Park Neighborhood Association
Belief in creating and promoting a safe and friendly neighborhood brought people together in the area surrounded by 16th Street, 20th Street, Walnut Street and Fond du Lac Avenue. The Johnson Park Neighborhood Association is dedicated to neighborhood preservation and improvement through an active Block Watch in addition to the revitalization of Johnson Park.

Walnut Way Conservation Corporation
A grassroots, community development organization serving the Milwaukee Central City neighborhood bounded by North Avenue, 12th Street, Fond du Lac Avenue, Walnut Street and 20th Street, Walnut Way’s resident-driven program focuses on initiatives to engage area residents in 1) Civic and community leadership, 2) Housing construction and restoration, 3) Stewardship of environmental resources, and 4) Economic Development.

This subdivision is part of the continuing efforts of the City of Milwaukee and its partners to implement the goals and priorities of the City’s Fond du Lac and North Neighborhood Plan.
In 2005, the City of Milwaukee, working through its Redevelopment Authority, acquired the Walnut Circle site for the purpose of building a high quality new owner occupied residential development.
