The Historic Third Ward is Milwaukee’s premier shopping and arts district. The area boasts an array of upscale retail shops, art galleries, restaurants, professional services as well as a local theatre. The neighborhood's walkability has drawn hundreds to the district's housing opportunities and the district's Gallery Night and Day keeps attracting new visitors to the area. Historic Third Ward is also well known for its Milwaukee Public Market, an eclectic mix of local restaurants, delis, retailers and coffee/juice shops that draws in over a million visitors a year.
