I’ve said throughout our Year of Housing that everything begins at home. That means we have to keep finding ways to build more housing and create more opportunities for Milwaukee families to find a place they can call home.

That’s why I’m excited about the VIA townhome project and what it represents for our city. Projects like this help us add new housing, strengthen neighborhoods, and make productive use of land in our community. We know Milwaukee needs more housing choices at different price points and for people at different stages of life. No single development will solve our housing challenges, but every new home moves us closer to our goal.

During the Year of Housing, we’re going to keep working with developers, community partners, and residents to get more housing built across Milwaukee.
