Community Development Grants Administration
Mario Higgins is the Director of Grant Administration for the City of Milwaukee. With a career spanning over two decades, he joined the Community Development Grants Administration (CDGA) in 2002 and has held various roles within the department. Most recently, before his current appointment, he served as the Associate Director. Mario is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and actively contributes to the community through his roles on advisory boards at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Versiti. His leadership in managing and administering grants is vital in supporting the city’s community development initiatives, particularly in ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet the needs of Milwaukee’s residents.
Mario’s dedication and expertise were recognized when Mayor Cavalier Johnson appointed him to lead the CDGA, a position that emphasizes his commitment to public service and the betterment of Milwaukee's communities.
