Department of City Development
On March 1, 2016 the Common Council approved the Walker Square Action Plan amending the Near South Side Area Plan to include the Strategic Action Plan as part of Milwaukee's Overall Comprehensive Plan. The Plan was developed durring 2015 by the Department of City Development in partnership with Alderman Jose Perez and the Walker Square Neighborhood Association to guide investment and improvement in the Walker Square neighborhood. The Walker Square Neighborhood is bounded by South 6th Street, West National Avenue, South Cesar Chavez Drive and West Greenfield Avenue.

The City of Milwaukee, Harbor District Inc., and other partners are in the process of developing a Water and Land Use Plan to craft a vision for the City’s Harbor District.
The Walker Square Strategic Action Plan was adopted by the Common Council on March 1, 2016.
The Walker's Point Strategic Action Plan was adopted by the Common Council on June 23, 2015.
