MKE Mobile App Launch

September 22nd

Mayor Tom Barrett unveiled the new City of Milwaukee mobile application designed to help residents report the most frequently requested services to the City right from their mobile devices.
Milwaukee residents can now report issues to the City through an app on their iPhone or Android devices without having to call the City’s service and information number (the Unified Call Center, UCC), or visit the City’s website.
The most frequently requested services are available with the launch of the app and more will be added throughout the year as the seasons change. With the launch of the mobile app, residents will be able to report issues to the UCC related to abandoned vehicles, graffiti, potholes, weeds/tall grass complaints, broken street lights, and more.
Tracking of mobile requests also occurs in the application. People can review the status and check the progress of their individual cases. Additional application features include links to garbage and recycling collection schedules, parking information, and an “ALERT” function to notify users of elevated weather or emergency events occurring in the City of Milwaukee.
A Google Maps connection provides the location of the service request and residents will be able to submit a photo or add more detail. Service requests with the app can be made any time of day and the request will be reported to the appropriate City department.
The mobile app is available in the Apple Store or in the GooglePlay Store by searching: MKE Mobile, Milwaukee Services, Milwaukee Mobile, or Milwaukee UCC.
